Died at home on 31/08/2007 very suddenly without illness or warning, leaving behind many people whos lives he had touched so greatly, most of all his family; Wife, Daughter, Grandson, and Grandaughter.
Britains top motorcycle artist, Official artist for the Ducati race team, and friend to everyone. Such a great talent admired globally.
Full of life, so much he wanted to do. He enjoyed travelling, exploring, music and was prepared to try anything once.
He will be remembered for his lust for life, dancing, laughing, care and compassion and his wonderful talent will live on.
We miss him terribly every day. Sleep well xxxxxxxxx
Rod, What an artist, You leave all the others in the shade. I have two prints of yours one of the great mike hailwood on the winning ducati in the iom tt in 1978 which i was at.and the other is of mike passing phil read on the honda six at brands hatch in1968. You are sadley missed.
Thruxton
Rod, I will never forget that day when you were riding your moped along the infield at Thruxton making your way to the Campbel - Cobb complex to take some photos.
There was nothing going on on track at the time and I remember how the croud cheered and clapped as you bumped your way along the grass ocaisionally waving to the crowed who then cheered louder, the same was on your return journey!!
It was great to meet you and remind you and pull your leg at the various shows we met at. You hadn't forgotten and you were pleased to meet one of the masses who cheered you on that day!
We have lots of your work hanging on the walls at home from Joey, Rossi, Super Mac, McKenzie and Hislop plus others to remind us what a great talent you were.
We were trully saddened to learn of your sudden passing.
